Playboy International N05 – A Collector’s Chapter It all began when I connected with Dennis Burkas, known to many as Dennis Black Magic. He’s a Belgian media icon, infamous for his underground publishing, provocative television, and unapologetic presence in the adult entertainment world. A disruptor, a storyteller, and someone who knows how to turn taboo into legacy. Dennis introduced me to Helena Catoir, his partner, who had one clear wish: to become a Playboy cover girl. That dream resonated. After countless meetings, creative exchanges, and editorial planning, we began shaping the vision. I led the photography and took on the role of editor-in-chief for the issue. The result? A bold edition of Playboy International. Helena on the cover, a collector’s poster inside, and a series of editorial spreads that reflect not just beauty, but collaboration, trust, and mythic ambition. This wasn’t just a shoot. It was a convergence of legacy, desire, and visual storytelling. And I’m proud to have captured it. Dave Groennesby
